I installed VisualACL server, client, and then ?
You have some servers needing content management all around you ?
- Open VisualACL client, log-on, remotely install VisualACL agents onto your machines (or locally, if you are nervous)
- After a few seconds, VisualACL client will display a mention like "VisualACL is alive". It means that in the "Activity" grid, you see machines scanning. You have now to wait until at least one scan/importation session is finished to start to report.
I tried to install an agent, but installation failed. What do I do now ?
Remote installation failures can come from various reasons. Some reasons are given in the setup log (available by clicking on the appropriate button).
- Try to Re-do install.
- If you re-install an agent, check if the previous agent is not running. If it's the case, you have to wait until termination, or kill the process
- If still not successful, then, in the left navigation tree, make a diagnostics package, and email it to our technical support. (support@...)
If I send you a diagnostics package, do I send you any security or confidential information ?
- No. Diagnostic package content is fully technical.
How can I verify the diagnostics package content ?
- uncompress and read the diagnostic file. It will be a readable text file.
I can't import a report from your web site. Why ?
- You are out of license, or the report is invalid.
By default, machines are scanned everyday.
How can I change to 1 scan per week ?
- You can only set that as a default at setup time, by clicking to display advanced setup screens, and then, choosing once a week option.
